About George Fox Sports Medicine

The George Fox University sports medicine staff provides medical support for all George Fox intercollegiate student athletes during the athletic competition year as defined by the NCAA. 

Medical coverage includes injury prevention, medical evaluations, emergency treatment, medical referrals, rehabilitation services and medical care for all visiting teams. The medical staff follows guidelines and implements procedures as defined by the NCAA Sports Medicine Handbook. 

To qualify for care from the sports medicine staff, the student-athlete must meet each of the 
qualifications:

  • A current member of a George Fox University athletic team
  • An updated George Fox University Pre-Participation Athletic Physical is on file
  • All pre-participation documents are updated and on file
  • Visiting team member

Hours of Operation

The sports medicine staff utilizes three athletic treatment rooms at locations including the Wheeler Sports Medicine Center, the Austin Complex Sports Medicine Center and the Duke Sports Medicine Center.  

  • Wheeler Sports Medicine Center
    Mon – Fri – 1 to 6 p.m.
    Two hours prior to game time
  • Austin Complex Sports Medicine Center
    Mon – Fri - One hour prior to practice
    Two hours prior to game time
  • Duke Sports Medicine Center
    Mon – Fri – 1 p.m. to one hour post practice
    Two hours prior to game time
