Jill Sikkema has served as an adjunct athletic trainer for George Fox since 2007. In 2009, she started teaching as an adjunct instructor while fulfilling her duties as an athletic trainer.
Jill graduated from George Fox in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a minor in mathematics.
She jumped into the workforce right after graduation, serving as the athletic trainer for Mountian View High School in California from 1999 to 2001. In 2000, she made the move to The King’s Academy teaching math and working as an athletic trainer until 2003. She then worked at Eagle High School in Idaho in 2003-04 as an assistant athletic trainer.
In 2006, Jill graduated from San Jose State with a master's degree in kinesiology. She then was hired in 2007 as an adjunct athletic trainer at George Fox. Two years later, Sikkema became an adjunct instructor for the Bruins and has served in that role since 2009. She teaches Lifelong Fitness, Tests and Measurements of PE, Statistics for Business and Economics, Stress Management, Psychosocial Intervention, Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Exercise Physiology and lab, and Drug Education.
She is currently pursuing her doctorate in higher education and learning at George Fox.
She is married to Seth and the couple has three children: Zeke, Ellie and Simon. The Sikkemas attend Grace Baptist Church in Newberg.
