Record-Setting Bruins Finish with No. 12 National Ranking
NEWBERG, Ore. - After another record-setting season in 2009, the George Fox University Bruins finished the year with a No. 12 ranking in the final NCAA Division III D3baseball.com national poll as voted on by the website's panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors, and media members from around the country, the second-highest ranking at the end of the season in Bruin history.

POST-SEASON AWARDS: Three Bruins Earn Slew of All-America, All-Region Honors
NEWBERG, Ore. A trio of George Fox University players - left fielder Matt Wyckoff, second baseman Bo Thunell, and relief pitcher Chad Jones - have collected six NCAA Division III All-America and All-West Region honors over the last couple of days by two national organizations, highlighting another record-setting baseball season for the Bruins in 2009.

GEORGE FOX 5-4, CHAPMAN 4-7: Split with Panthers Leaves Bruins a Game Short of Series
McMINNVILLE, Ore. A 5-4 10-inning win by the George Fox University Bruins in the first game of Sundays NCAA Division III Baseball West Regional here at Linfield Colleges Roy Helser Field/Jim Wright Stadium forced a second and deciding game, but the battle-tested Chapman University Panthers scored three unearned runs in the 7th inning to take a 7-4 win and a spot in next weeks D-III World Series.

ALL-CONFERENCE: Wyckoff, Hunter Take Top Player, Coach Honors in NWC
NEWBERG, Ore. - Headlining a list of 14 George Fox University Bruins earning 2009 All-Northwest Conference baseball honors, slugging left fielder Matt Wyckoff has been named the NWC Player of the Year while Marty Hunter has been named Co-Coach of the Year as voted on by the conferences nine coaches.

NEWBERG, Ore. - Center fielder Kyle Kuenzi of George Fox University, the Bruins lead-off hitter who is on the verge of a new school record for runs scored, has been named to the 2009 ESPN the Magazine / CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII College Division Baseball Team as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

NEWBERG, Ore. - Slipping back into a tie for first place in the Northwest Conference baseball race with Pacific Lutheran University with one day left, the George Fox University Bruins defeated the Linfield College Wildcats 5-4 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon here at Morse Field but fell behind by too much in the second game and dropped a 7-6 decision to their Yamhill County rivals.
