BSB: Bruins to Begin Live Stats and KFOX Internet Webcasts with Corban Game Tuesday

NEWBERG, Ore. - Thanks to some good work by the school's IT department, George Fox University recently installed internet access at its Morse Field baseball complex in  the press box, and will begin providing live stats and internet webcasts by KFOX campus radio with the Bruins' home opener vs. Corban College Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 2:00 p.m.

Live stats will be available for all Bruin home games throughout the season.  The schedule of KFOX webcasts is subject to the availability of student broadcasters to cover the games, but the station hopes to carry Saturday's non-conference doubleheader with Menlo College, which begins at 11:00 a.m.  If KFOX does webcast a game, a link will be provided on the Bruins' schedule on the George Fox athletics website.  Live stats and any KFOX webcasts will be available at the following links:

George Fox is coming off a 6-4 win on Sunday over Concordia University-Portland in a game that was played at the University of Portland.  The Bruins, who are the defending Northwest Conference champions, are 3-4 on the season while working in new starters at six places in the batting order.  The Corban Warriors are 4-3 after a 6-0 loss back on Feb. 14 at NAIA Division I national power Lewis-Clark State College.

The Bruins have been  led in the early going by juco transfer Sam Stahl, who is batting .563 with multi-hit performances in all six games in which he has appeared, and relief ace Chad Jones, who is 1-0 with two saves, a 1.29 ERA, and 10 strikeouts in 7.0 innings thus far.
