2010 Bruin Baseball Hitting Skills Camp to be Held Dec. 20-22

Information & Registration Form

NEWBERG, Ore. - George Fox University's annual winter Bruin Baseball Hitting Skills Camp for youth in grades 3-12 has been set this year for Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 20-22, in the Wheeler Sports Center, according to GFU head coach Marty Hunter.

The Bruin Baseball Hitting Skills Camp is for players who want to improve their offensive skills.  Hunter and his George Fox coaching staff will lead the camp, along with some of the finest college and high school coaches in the area.  Instructors will break down the mechanics of the swing and improve each aspect through progressive, organized drills.  Daily video analysis is used, along with information on the mental side of hitting.

Hunter, the camp director, is in his fourth season as the head coach and ninth season overall at George Fox.   During that time, the Bruins have won five Northwest Conference championships, played in six regional tournaments, and won the NCAA Division III World Series in 2004.  The Bruins are 89-41 in his three seasons as head coach.

The cost of the camp is $125, and includes a T-shirt, hitting packet, and camp insurance.  The registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 15.  Registration forms with additional information are now available on the George Fox baseball web site at http://athletics.georgefox.edu/camps/bsbwintercamp2010.pdf.
