NEWBERG, Ore. --- George Fox baseball's Jerred Seamons has been named Northwest Conference Baseball Position Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.

Seamons, a junior third baseman from Fruitland, Idaho, was crucial over the weekend against the 'Cats. In Friday's 13-4 win over Linfield, Seamons went 4-6 at the plate with four RBIs. This marks the first honor for the Bruins on the conference student-athlete of the week for baseball.

The Bruins ended the weekend with a 2-1 series victory over the 'Cats – marking the first time the Bruins beat Linfield at its place since the 2008 season. After the fact, the Bruins have received attention from D3baseball.com, placing them inside the top-25 at No. 24 nationally.

George Fox is back in action Saturday, March 3 with a doubleheader against Pacific (Ore.). The first pitch is set for 12 pm.
