NEWBERG, Ore. --- After a stellar performance on the gridiron against No. 15 UW-Platteville, sophomore Daniel Campos was recognized as Northwest Conference Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.

Campos, a linebacker from Whittier, California, made his George Fox debut for the Bruins in a big way. Campos led the Bruins with 10 tackles in the 30-28 road loss against the top-ranked Pioneers. Not only did he lead the team in tackles, but also recorded one forced fumble and a tackle for a loss in Saturday's contest.

He becomes the second player to earn NWC Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week. Charles Riga was named November 7-13, 2016.
