NEWBERG, Ore. --- Charles Riga became the third Bruin in the George Fox football program to earn a spot on the D3Football.com Team of the Week after his performance in the 27-7 victory over Pacific.

Riga joins Justin Leatherman (2014) and Lenana Meekisho (2015) as the only Bruins to grab a spot on the weekly honor from D3Football.com.

Riga, a junior from Portland, Oregon, led the Bruins' defense with a team-high 12 tackles, including half a sack. His biggest play of the game came right before the half after a blocked field goal turned into a 94-yard touchdown. Justin Kruse set up the play getting his hand on the attempted field goal, and Rudy Hughes recovered the ball soon after. While Hughes was getting brought the ground, he turned around and tossed the ball to Riga, who then took it to the house for a 94-yard touchdown.

Riga is currently 19th in Division III in tackles, 35th in solo tackles and 78th in sacks.
