NWC CHAMPIONSHIP: Bruins Finish NWC Tourney and Season in 8th Place
BLUE RIVER, Ore. - Although they were able to shave 16 strokes off their first-day score, the George Fox University Bruins were unable to climb past anyone else and finished eighth in the Northwest Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament Sunday here at the Tokatee Golf Course, winding up in the same spot in the overall final NWC standings.

NWC FALL CLASSIC: Linfield Overtakes Pacific to Win Fall Classic by Three Strokes
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Down by one stroke heading into the second day of play, the Linfield College Wildcats out-scored the Pacific University Boxers 301-305 on Sunday to win the Northwest Conference Men’s Golf Fall Classic 596-599 as the tournament concluded here at the Canyon Lakes Golf Course.

NWC FALLCLASSIC: Linfield Out to Defend NWC Fall Classic Title at Canyon Lakes Course
NEWBERG, Ore. - Linfield College will be out to defend its Northwest Conference Fall Classic title in men’s golf at the 2008 event this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18-19, at the Canyon Lakes Golf Course in Kennewick, Wash. Tee times are set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, and the public is welcome.

BOXER-BRUIN INVITATIONAL: Linfield Extends Lead to Win Easily in Gearhart
GEARHART, Ore. – Entering the second day of play with only an eight-stroke lead, the Linfield College Wildcats extended that advantage to 27 with a second-day score of 288 for a final 36-hole score of 573 to win the Boxer-Bruin Invitational men’s golf tournament, co-hosted by Pacific University and George Fox University, Sunday afternoon here at the Gearhart Golf Course.

SALEM, Ore. – Getting their second year of intercollegiate men’s golf competition under way, the George Fox University Bruins carded a team score of 344 to finish fourth in the Willamette University Invitational Tournament Monday here at the Illahe Hills Country Club course.
