Men's Golf In Fourth After Day One

SUNRIVER, Ore. --- George Fox University's men's golf team made a fantastic showing at the Northwest Fall Classic, shooting a team score of 328 and placing fourth after the first round.

Recap:
Willamette leads the nine team field with a team score of 310, while Whitworth is close behind in second with a 313. Pacific Lutheran edged out George Fox by five strokes with a 323 to round out the podium.

Top Performers:
Brandon Sutton was the top performer for the Bruins shooting a 78 on the first day and is tied for sixth. Andrew Grove is currently tied for ninth and shot an 80, while Zachary Mode is T19 with an 84 on the card. Alex Plusquellec stands alone at 26th with an 86, and Caleb An completed the scoring with a 90 and is T32. It should be noted that the wind gusts were over 30mph during the round and players dealt with the wind the entire day.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will hope for calmer weather tomorrow, as the second round will kick off on Sunday morning.
