Bruins Finish Day One of CBU Invite

CORONA, Calif. ---The George Fox men's golf team played 36 holes on Monday, as the Bruins competed in a tough field at the California Baptist Men's Invitational.

Recap:
The Bruins shot a team score of 657 after the two rounds and sit in 18th. Alex Plusquellec was the low man of the day shooting back-to-back 79s for a total of 158 in T-64th. Zachary Mode shot an 82-81=163 to take T-77th, while Brandon Sutton shot an 81-89=170 to place T-86th. Mason Mueller completed the scoring for the Bruins with an 89-89=178 to place 91st. Caleb An got off to a strong start in the first 18 holes with a 77, but round two was disqualified due to not signing his scorecard.

Holy Names University was among the top teams, but two players on the team also forgot to sign their scorecards and were disqualified. CBU is in the lead with a team score of 578, while Colorado Christian is in second with a team score of 583.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will finish up the final round tomorrow with an early tee time.
