Bruins Sit In Sixth After First Day of Multnomah Invite

OREGON CITY, Ore. --- The George Fox men's golf team played 36 holes Monday in the Multnomah Invite at Stone Creek Golf Club, as the Bruins sit in sixth with a team score of 645.

Corban University leads the field of seven teams by 19 strokes after posting a 296-293 – 589 team score. Oregon Institute of Technology is in second with a 301-307 – 608, while Warner Pacific College is in third with a 317-298 – 615. The Bruins finished the first day with a 323-322 – 645.

Mason Koch led the way, as the freshman sits tied for 10th with a 75-77 – 152. Alex Plusquellec is currently 16th with an 81-75 – 156 on his scorecard. Caleb Fernandez shot an 82-84 – 166 to place T-30th, while Mason Mueller fired off an 85-86 – 171 to place T-37th. Tanner Washburn finished up the scoring with an 89-87 – 176 to take T-43rd. Clayton Rajewich competed as an individual for the Bruins and is tied with Koch with a 74-78 – 152 to place T-10th.

Montana Frame of Oregon Institute of Technology leads the field of 49 golfers with a 71-72 – 143.

The Bruins will close out the Multnomah Invite Tuesday in the final 18 holes of the tournament.
