Bruins Go Low In Final Day, Take Sixth At Multnomah Invite

OREGON CITY, Ore. --- The George Fox men's golf team closed out the Multnomah Invite Tuesday with the third best score on the day to finish sixth out of seven teams.

Recap:
The Bruins' 307 in the final round was their best team score in the tournament, and the third lowest on the day. George Fox finished with a 323-322-307 – 952 to place sixth. They were 10 strokes off fifth and 17 strokes off fourth.

Corban University won the tournament with a 296-293-303 – 892 to win by 10 strokes. Oregon Institute of Technology finished second with a 301-307-294 – 902, while Warner Pacific College placed third with a 317-298-316 – 931. Northwest Christian took fourth and The College of Idaho placed fifth.

Alex Plusquellec climbed up the leaderboard in the final round, as the junior went from 16th to T-sixth with a 69 on his scorecard. He tied two other golfers in the final day with the best 18-hole score. Plusquellec singed an 81-75-69 – 225 to finish in the Top 10 for the third time this season.

Mason Koch also finished in the Top 10 with a 75-77-74 – 226 to place T-ninth. Caleb Fernandez shot an 82-84-82 – 248 to take 30th, while Mason Mueller finished with an 85-86-82 – 253 to place T-34th.

Tanner Washburn finished the tournament at 39th with an 89-87-83 – 259 on his scorecard. Clayton Rajewich competed as an individual for the Bruins and placed 15th with a 74-78-79 – 231.

Devery Stewart of Corban was the medalist, shooting a 68-76-69 – 213 to win by four strokes.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will take on the Northwest Conference in their next tournament, as they tee it up in the NWC Spring Classic in Bremerton, Washington.
