WOODBURN, Ore. --- The George Fox men's golf team played in the Willamette Spring Invite Friday, as the Bruins are currently fourth after the first round of play.
The Bruins finished the first round with a team score of 313 to sit 11 strokes off of second place and 18 strokes off of first place. Willamette University leads its tournament with a team score of 295 at the OGA Golf Course. Whitworth is in second with a score of 302, while Linfield is third with a 308.
Alex Plusquellec and Mason Koch led the charge for the Bruins, as the pair shot a 77 to sit tied for ninth. Clayton Rajewich is T-15th with a 78, and Mason Mueller is T-24th with an 81 on the card. Tanner Washburn was the fifth Bruin in the lineup with an 84 and is in 32nd. Caleb Fernendez competed as an individual for the Bruins, signing an 82 to finish T-27th.
Samuel Hinton of Willamette is currently in the lead with a 2-under 70 to lead by two strokes.

The Bruins will compete in the final round Saturday, April 15, with early tee teams on the par 72 course.
