Bruins Place Fourth At Willamette Spring Invite

WOODBURN, Ore. --- The George Fox men's golf tennis team finished fifth at the Willamette Spring Invite Saturday, as the Bruins finished with a team score of 630.

Willamette won its own tournament with a team score of 589. Whitworth came in second with a score of 607, while Linfield placed third with a score of 610. Puget Sound placed fourth with a score of 627, which was three strokes better than the Bruins. George Fox finished with a 313-317 – 630.

Alex Plusquellec led the Bruins with a 77-77 – 154 to finish T-14th. Clayton Rajewich shot a 78-78 – 156 to finish T-17th. Mason Koch shot a 77-81 – 158 to place T-23rd, while Mason Mueller finished T-29th with an 81-81 – 162. Tanner Washburn signed an 84-82 – 166 to take T-33rd. Caleb Fernandez placed 32nd overall as an individual with an 82-83 – 165.

Samuel Hinton of Willamette won the tournament by a stroke with a 70-74 – 144.

The Bruins will complete their season at the Northwest Conference Championships April 22-23 at Tacoma Country Club.
