Bruins Finish Third at Puget Sound Invitational

BREMERTON, Wash. --- The George Fox men's golf team finished the Puget Sound Men's Invitational in third place out of five teams, Sunday afternoon.

Recap:

The Bruins finished the two day tournament with a 306-308=614 to finish one stroke behind second place. Whitworth edged the Bruins by that one stroke with a 304-309=613, while Pacific Lutheran won the event with a 297-295=592 to win by 21 strokes.

Clayton Rajewich was the top finisher for the Bruins in fourth with a 77-74=151. Mason Koch and Joshua Lackey both placed tied for fifth with a total 153 on the card. Alex Plusquellec finished T-15th with a 76-81=157, while Nathaniel Gurnee shot an 83-92=175 to place T-36th.

Mason Mueller and Tanner Washburn competed as individuals, as Mueller shot a 77-80=157 to finish T-15th. Washburn signed an 84-81=165 to place T-30th.

Mitchell Baldridge of Pacific Lutheran won the tournament by two strokes with a three-under-par 72-69=141.

What Comes Next:

The Bruins will host the George Fox Invitational at the Gearhart Golf Course in Gearhart, Oregon, Oct. 7-8.
