Coming Up :
Fri., Sept. 17, 7:30 pm - vs. Whitman College, Newberg, Ore. (NWC)
Sun., Sept. 19, 2:30 pm - vs. Whitworth University, Newberg, Ore. (NWC)
After going 0-2-1 in the non-conference portion of their schedule, with losses to Oregon Tech and Trinity Lutheran and a tie with Simpson (Calif.), the Bruin now turn their attention to Northwest Conference play as Whitman and Whitworth get their first look at the new Austin Sports Complex field at George Fox. Live stats are expected to be available for the first time at George Fox soccer matches this weekend.
In an unusual twist to the schedule, the Bruins will play conference soccer games on Friday and Sunday, with no matches on Saturday, for this weekend only. This came about because the Whits are also playing Pacific on this trip, but Lincoln Park Stadium in Forest Grove is shared by the Boxers’ football and soccer teams. Saturday is a home date for the football team, thus precluding any soccer matches that day.
Tickets: Ticket prices for George Fox soccer matches at the Austin Sports Complex, which is located at the corner of Villa Rd. and Crestview Dr. a mile north of the main campus, are $6 for adults and $3 for non-GFU students and seniors 55 and over. Children 6 and under who are not in school are free. George Fox faculty, staff, and students are admitted free with valid GFU ID; the ID covers immediate family members for George Fox employees.
