WHITTIER, Calif. --- The George Fox men's soccer team played their final game in California on Sunday with a 3-0 loss at the hands of the Poets of Whittier College.

Recap:
The Bruins continue to improve as a team despite another tough loss. Things are looking up offensively as the team tallied 15 shots (up from 11 against La Verne) to the Poets' 17 and even managed to out-shoot the opposition in the second half 8-7.

The action began immediately with a goal coming in the fifth minute and didn't stop there as the home team put in one more in the first half and another in the second.

Top Performers:
Sean Owens and Cody Ulrich led the way offensively with 3 shots each. Ricardo Sotelo and Austin Burdick split time in the goal and combined for 9 saves in 90 minutes of play.  

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will continue their tough road schedule with a game against Southern Oregon University on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m.
