NEWBERG, Ore. It was a not a long search, time-wise or distance-wise, for George Fox University director of athletics Craig Taylor to find Neal Ninteman, the new head coach for the Bruin mens tennis program - if fact, it was only a short stroll across campus.

ALL-CONFERENCE: Bruins Barnett Named Second Team All-NWC
NEWBERG, Ore. In an otherwise disappointing mens tennis season, Scott Barnett provided a bright spot for the George Fox University Bruins with a fine rookie season, earning All-Northwest Conference Second Team honors as voted on by the leagues nine coaches.

WILLAMETTE 9, GEORGE FOX 0: Tough Season Ends as Bruins Bow to Bearcats in Finale
SALEM, Ore. A difficult 2009 season on the courts came to an end for George Fox University as the visiting Bruins dropped their season finale 9-0 to the Willamette University Bearcats in a Northwest Conference mens tennis match Saturday here at the WU tennis courts.

LINFIELD 9, GEORGE FOX 0: Bruins Drop Final Home Match of Season to Cats
BEAVERTON, Ore. Closing out the home portion of their 2009 mens tennis season with yet another home-away-from-home match, the George Fox University Bruins fell 9-0 to the Linfield College Wildcats in Northwest Conference competition Wednesday here at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center after wet grounds on the GFU campus courts had forced a days postponement.

WHITMAN 9, GEORGE FOX 0: Nationally-Ranked Missionaries Whitewash Bruins
PORTLAND, Ore. Despite a late change in venue and time, the nationally-ranked Whitman College Missionaries remained unbowed in Northwest Conference mens tennis play as they downed the George Fox University Bruins 9-0 Tuesday morning here at Lewis & Clark Colleges Tennis Bubble.

GEORGE FOX 5, COLLEGE OF IDAHO 4: Bruins Edge Coyotes to Pick Up First Win of 09
BEAVERTON, Ore. Stepping outside the Northwest Conference proved to be a good move for the George Fox University mens tennis team as they picked up their first win of the 2009 season, despite playing short-handed, with a 5-4 victory over the visiting College of Idaho Coyotes Sunday here at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.

WILLAMETTE 7, GEORGE FOX 2: Barnett Wins Twice but Bruins Lose Rest to Bearcats
BEAVERTON, Ore. Scott Barnett of George Fox University picked up wins at No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles, but the rest of his teammates were not as fortunate as the Bruins dropped a 7-2 decision to the Willamette University Bearcats in a Northwest Conference mens tennis match that was moved here to the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center Saturday afternoon due to wet courts on campus.

PUGET SOUND 6, GEORGE FOX 3: Bruins Win at Top but Bottom Out Against Loggers
NEWBERG, Ore. Despite picking up wins at No. 1 doubles and the top two singles positions, the George Fox University Bruins could do nothing with the rest of the University of Puget Sound lineup and dropped a 6-3 decision to the Loggers in a Northwest Conference mens tennis match Friday afternoon here at the GFU campus courts.

Bruins Swept on Weekend Road Trip to Eastern Washington
SPOKANE, Wash. / WALLA WALLA, Wash. Coming up empty on their longest trip of the season, the George Fox University Bruins dropped both of their Northwest Conference mens tennis matches over the weekend on their eastern Washington swing by 9-0 scores, to the Whitworth University Pirates on Friday and to the nationally-ranked Whitman College Missionaries on Saturday.
