ALL-CONFERENCE: Bradely, Tsuruda Earn All-Northwest Conference Honors
NEWBERG, Ore. Chelsea Bradelys first year at George Fox University and Kerstyn Tsurudas last made favorable impressions around the Northwest Conference as the two have been selected to the All-Conference Teams, Bradely to the First Team and Tsuruda to the Second Team, as voted on by the leagues eight coaches.

GEORGE FOX 6-1, DALLAS 4-19: Bruins End Hollens 1st Season by Splitting with Crusaders
NEWBERG, Ore. Ending their first season under new coach Jessica Hollen on a more upbeat note than most of the rest of the season, the George Fox University Bruins split a non-conference softball doubleheader with the University of Dallas Lady Crusaders Saturday afternoon here at Morse Field, winning the opener 6-4 before dropping the nightcap 19-1 in five innings.

PUGET SOUND 4-14, GEORGE FOX 2-5: Bruins End Conference Play with Losses to Loggers
NEWBERG, Ore. Bringing the Northwest Conference portion of their 2009 softball season to a close, the George Fox University Bruins dropped a pair of decisions 4-2 and 14-5 to the visiting University of Puget Sound Loggers Sunday afternoon here at Morse Field.

PACIFIC LUTHERAN 11-12, GEORGE FOX 1-1: Hagensens Bat and Arm Lead Lutes by Bruins Twice
NEWBERG, Ore. Stacey Hagensen went 5-for-7 with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs and five runs scored on the day and got the pitching victory in the second game as the visiting Pacific Lutheran University Lutes took a Northwest Conference softball doubleheader from the George Fox University Bruins 11-1 and 12-1 Saturday afternoon here at Morse Field.

LEWIS & CLARK 9-14, GEORGE FOX 6-6: Pioneers Take High-Scoring Makeup Games from Bruins
PORTLAND, Ore. On an offense-oriented that saw the two teams combine for 35 runs and 48 hits, the Lewis & Clark College Pioneers swept a Northwest Conference softball doubleheader that had been postponed from March 22 from the visiting George Fox University Bruins 9-6 and 14-6 Thursday afternoon here at the Houston Sports Complex.

Recent struggles to put runs on the board continued to plague the George Fox University Bruins Friday afternoon here at Morse Field as the visiting Pacific University Boxers handed the home team a double whitewashing, 6-0 and 10-0 in five innings, in Northwest Conference softball action.

Nikki Franchi threw a no-hitter in the first game and Alex Watilo threw a three-hitter in the second as the 10th-ranked Willamette University Bearcats blanked the George Fox University Bruins 8-0 and 10-0 in a pair of five-inning Northwest Conference softball games Sunday afternoon here at the WU softball field.

Piling up 32 hits while allowing only four themselves, the No. 6-ranked Linfield College Wildcats maintained their perfect Northwest Conference record by sweeping the home-standing George Fox University Bruins 12-1 and 17-0 in a pair of five-inning softball games Saturday afternoon here at Morse Field.

After losing a 1-0 extra-inning heartbreaker in the opening game, the George Fox University Bruins surrendered seven runs in the final two innings of the nightcap and dropped a 9-1 decision to the Whitworth University Pirates in a Northwest Conference softball doubleheader Saturday afternoon here at Marks Field.

McMINNVILLE, Ore. In a Northwest Conference softball doubleheader that was moved ahead one day due to expected wet weather over the weekend, the 22nd-ranked Linfield College Wildcats stayed unbeaten with a 14-1, 9-1 sweep of the George Fox University Bruins, both in five innings, Friday night here at the Linfield softball diamond.

NWC POLL: Coaches See 8th Place for Bruins and New Coach Hollen
NEWBERG, Ore. New George Fox University softball coach Jessica Hollen has her work cut out for her if the pre-season predictions of the Northwest Conferences eight coaches are accurate, as the Bruins have been tabbed for eighth place during the upcoming 2009 season, according to a recent release by the conference office.
