George Fox Sets Series of Softball Camps for All Skill Levels for August 10-12
NEWBERG, Ore. – Four different softball camps for athletes of various ages and skills levels will be hosted by George Fox University on Wednesday-Friday, August 10-12, under the supervision of Bruins’ head coach Jessica Hollen along with her assistant coaches and several of her team’s players.

NEWBERG, Ore. – Hard-hitting shortstop Bethany Chriss and speedy left fielder Nicole Renteria of George Fox University have received honorable mention for the 2011 All-Northwest Conference Softball Team for their outstanding seasons as voted on recently by the league’s eight coaches and announced by the conference office.

GEORGE FOX 9-16, LEWIS & CLARK 2-10: Bruins’ Offense Explodes in Sweep of Pios
PORTLAND, Ore. – Erupting for their largest one-day offensive explosion of the season, the George Fox University Bruins closed out their 2011 campaign by scoring 25 runs on 30 hits to sweep the Lewis & Clark College Pioneers 9-2 and 16-10 in Northwest Conference softball action Sunday afternoon here at the Huston Sports Complex.

Bruins’ Home DH Saturday Moved to Lewis & Clark; Briske and Doyle to be Honored
NEWBERG, Ore. – Due to excessive water on George Fox University’s softball field, the Bruins’ final two home games of the season with Lewis & Clark College set for Saturday, April 16, at 12:00 noon will be moved to the Pioneers’ home field at the Huston Sports Complex, which has better drainage, near the L&C campus in Portland, Ore.

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – After falling 11-2 in six innings to the Pacific University Boxers in the first game of a Northwest Conference softball twi-night twinbill Wednesday here at Sherman/Larkins Stadium, the George Fox University Bruins lost a 3-2 heartbreaker in the nightcap on an Ashley Billingsley walk-off home run in the last of the seventh.

NEWBERG, Ore. – Auriel Sperberg got a save in the first game and a win in the second and the University of Puget Sound offense hammered out double-digit hits in both games, leading the visiting Loggers to a Northwest Conference softball sweep of the George Fox University Bruins, 5-3 and 5-1, Sunday afternoon here at Morse Field.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Allyssa DenDekker spun a sparkling three-hit shutout in a 1-0 George Fox University first-game win, but Whitworth University’s Jessica Dickson responded with a four-hit shutout of her own as the Pirates downed the visiting Bruins 5-0 in the second game for a Northwest Conference softball split Sunday afternoon here at Marks Field.
