Bruins’ Home DH Saturday Moved to Lewis & Clark; Briske and Doyle to be Honored
NEWBERG, Ore. – Due to excessive water on George Fox University’s softball field, the Bruins’ final two home games of the season with Lewis & Clark College set for Saturday, April 16, at 12:00 noon will be moved to the Pioneers’ home field at the Huston Sports Complex, which has better drainage, near the L&C campus in Portland, Ore.
The Bruins (9-27, Northwest Conference 3-21) will still be the home team against the Pioneers (7-28, NWC 1-23). On Sunday, the same two teams will conclude the regular season at the Huston Sports Complex, with Lewis & Clark as the home team, playing another twinbill at 12:00 noon.
George Fox will honor its one graduating senior, Shelby Briske, in pre-game ceremonies before Saturday’s first game. The Bruins will also recognize junior Becka Doyle for her fine three-year career, as she will be unable to play for the team next spring due to academic commitments coming up in her senior year.
