George Fox to Offer Sunday Night Softball Clinics Due to Cancellation of August Camps
NEWBERG, Ore. – Two series of Sunday night youth softball camps, one for pitchers and one featuring hitting and fielding techniques, will be offered by George Fox University this fall in lieu of two upcoming August camps which have had to be cancelled due to planned renovations to the Bruins’ Morse Softball Field.

George Fox Sets Two Summer Softball Camps for Offense/Defense and One for Pitching
NEWBERG, Ore. – Three different softball camps for athletes of various ages and skill levels, two focusing on offense and defense and one designed for pitchers only, will be hosted by George Fox University this summer under the supervision of Bruins’ head coach Jessica Hollen, along with her assistant coaches and several of her team’s players.

ALL-CONFERENCE: Hollen Named Coach of the Year, Four Players Get All-NWC Honors
NEWBERG, Ore. – An unexpected fourth-place finish in the Northwest Conference and their first post-season action in 18 years has earned several members of George Fox University’s softball team recognition on the 2012 All-NWC Teams as voted on by the league’s eight coaches, including Coach of the Year honors for Bruins head coach Jessica Hollen.

NWC TOURNAMENT: Bruins Ousted by Pair of ‘Cats in Long-Awaited Post-Season Play
McMINNVILLE, Ore. – In their first post-season appearance in 18 years, the George Fox University Bruins fell 3-0 to the No. 1-ranked Linfield College Wildcats in the first game of the Northwest Conference Softball Tournament, then were ousted by the Willamette University Bearcats 5-1 in an elimination game later Friday here at Del Smith Stadium.

NEWBERG, Ore. – Kerrianne Davidson slugged a three-run homer to back the three-hit pitching of Allyssa DenDekker, giving the George Fox University Bruins a 3-1 second-game win and a split in their regular season-ending Northwest Conference softball doubleheader with the Whitworth University Pirates Sunday afternoon here at Morse Field.

PORTLAND, Ore. – It took over a month to do it, but the George Fox University Bruins and the Lewis & Clark College Pioneers finally completed the second game of a doubleheader that was started on March 10, with the Pios edging the visiting Bruins 1-0 in Northwest Conference softball action Thursday afternoon here at the Huston Sports Complex.
