Nathan Ohta enters his second season for head coach Jessica Hollen for the 2018 season. 

Ohta comes to George Fox after serving as the head softball coach at Corban University. Ohta was named the head coach at Corban in the 2008 season after serving as an assistant in 2007. In his nine seasons at the helm, he finished with a 257-171 overall record. 

In 2013, he led Corban to a program-record 43 wins against 15 losses. He provided two firsts in the program: a Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season title, and a berth in the NAIA national postseason tournament. He finished his coaching career with six CCC tournament appearances (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016). 

Ohta graduated from Western Baptist College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Mathematics Educations. He received an M.S. Ed. with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction from Corban University in 2012. 

Ohta is married to his wife, Michele and they have two children: Caleb (4), Hannah (2).
