Bruins Set to Compete in 16 events at the T&F Nationals

LA CROSSE --- The top-ranked George Fox men's and women's track and field team are slated to compete in 16 events at the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin, May 24-26.

The NCAA takes the Top 20 on the men's side in all events, while the women's side is comprised of the Top 22 in all events. The men's and women's relays take the Top 16 earning a spot at Nationals.

George Fox is coming off its second straight sweep at the Northwest Conference Championships, as both men's and women's teams won the NWC titles. The win on the men's side marks the second time in the program's history, while the women's team secured their seventh title. Both the men's and women's teams set firsts this year, as they both cracked the top 5 rankings in the nation throughout the season.

Coming into Nationals, the men's team is ranked seventh in the nation, while the women are fourth in the nation. They also recorded 42 awards on the USTFCCCA All-Region team.

The following athletes represent the women's team competing this weekend: Sara Turner (100m), Kennedy Taube (200m), Sarah King (200m and 400m), Dakota Buhler (Long Jump, Triple Jump), King, Taube, Turner, Lis Larsen, Megan Miller (4x100 Relay), Stacy Kozlowski (High Jump) and Annie Wright (Heptathlon).

The following athletes represent the men's team competing this weekend: Vernon Lott (200m), Chris Polk (400m), Polk, Lott, Kenny May, Brock Rogers, Cody Webb (4x100 Relay), Jacoby Wolfe (High Jump), Caleb Dalzell (Discus), Seth Nonnenmacher (Javelin) and Alex Canchola (Decathlon).
