WBSK: Bruins Sectional Games to be Shown on Big Screen for Fans in Miller Gym
NEWBERG, Ore. – All games the George Fox University Bruins may play in the NCAA Division Women’s Basketball National Tournament Sectional in St. Louis, Mo., this weekend will be shown live on the big screen in the Wheeler Sports Center’s Miller Gym, with all fans invited to join in the fun at no charge.
The Bruins (27-2), making their fifth “Sweet 16” appearance, will take on the Carthage College Lady Reds (24-4) at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time (5:00 p.m. Central) on Friday, Mar. 12, at Washington University-St. Louis’ Fieldhouse. Should the Bruins win, they would play the winner of Friday’s second game between the Washington-St. Louis Bears (25-2) and the Mount Union College Purple Raiders (26-4) on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Pacific time (7:00 p.m. Central). The sectional champion will advance to the Final Four on Mar. 19-20 at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill.
The Miller Gym bleachers will be pulled out for fans to sit in while watching the games, and the concession stand will be open as well (the seats are free, the food and drinks are not!) For fans who are unable to attend the games in the gym, the host school is providing live internet video streaming and live stats, while George Fox campus radio station KFOX will provide live audio play-by-play.
