Bruins’ Coach Meek to Be a Guest Wednesday on KPAM’s “Northwest Sports Tonight”

NEWBERG, Ore. – Michael Meek, the second-year coach of the George Fox University women’s basketball program, has been invited to be a featured guest tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 25), on Ron Callan’s “Northwest Sports Tonight” radio talk show on KPAM AM 860, which runs from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Meek is expected to be Callan’s guest around 6:45 p.m.  Fans who would like to hear Coach Meek’s conversation can tune in to the radio station or listen via the internet at www.kpam.com.

George Fox is currently 17-0 and ranked No. 3 in both the D3hoops.com and USA Today / ESPN / Women’s Basketball Coaches Association national polls.  The Bruins are 8-0 in the Northwest Conference and lead the league by a game over Lewis & Clark College. 

Under Meek, the Bruins are 42-6 and reached the ‘Elite 8’ of the NCAA Division III’s National Tournament while going 25-6 in Meek’s first season in 2010-11.  The Bruins have reached the ‘Elite 8’ each of the last three seasons, and won the national championship with a 32-0 record in 2008-09 under coach Scott Rueck, who is now at Oregon State University.
