WGF: Nap Repeats as Bruin Athletic Association Women’s Athlete for Sept. 21-27


NEWBERG, Ore. - After setting yet another women's golf record, Brianna Nap has repeated as the Bruin Athletic Association Women's Athlete of the Week for Sept. 21-27.  In the Pacific Invitational at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, Ore., on Sept. 26-27, the junior from Deer Park, Wash., won medalist honors with a two-day score of 80-75=155 to win the event by five strokes.  Her Sunday 75 was a new Bruin record for 18 holes.  Led by Nap's efforts, the Bruins captured the tournament by 18 strokes over Linfield with a 340-325=665 score, setting a new team record low score on the second day.  It was the second straight tournament win for the Bruins, who won their own GFU Women's Invitational at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course in Newberg on Sept. 19, when Nap won medalist honors with an 18-hole score of 37-39=76.
