CRESWELL, Ore. --- The George Fox women's golf team came back from a one stroke deficit after Day One to win the Northwest Conference Fall Classic by 18 strokes, Sunday afternoon.

Recap:
The Bruins won the Fall Classic with a team score of 605. The Bruins followed up their 312 Day One score with a blistering 293. Whitman came in second with a 623 total, while Lewis & Clark placed third at 631.

Sydney Maluenda led the Bruins with a 75-69-144 to win the tournament by four strokes. Maluenda was fabulous on Day Two, firing a 3-under 69 in the final round. This marks back-to-back wins for Maluenda, who recently won the Culturame Classic. Kristin Elich shot an 80-72-152 to finish fourth, while freshman Rachel Drgastin was right behind her in fifth with a 79-76-155. Madison Perry signed an 82-76-158 to place seventh and Iris Kawada finished T-Eighth with a 78-81-159.

All five Bruins finished in the Top 10.

The Bruins will play next in the Concordia Invitational on Oct. 17-18 at Emerald Valley Golf Course.
