Hanson and Easterlin Earn NWC Student-Athletes of the Week

A Winning Tradition

NEWBERG --- The George Fox women's lacrosse team earned its fourth and fifth Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Student-Athletes of the Week, as Jess Hanson and Mikaela Easterlin earned the honors.

This marks the third straight week the Bruins have had an athlete named to the offensive side of the award.

Hanson, a senior from El Dorado Hills, California, earns her second NWC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honor. She played a huge part in helping the Bruins go 2-0 on the week. She recorded six points in both wins for a team-high of 12 points. She scored five goals and dished out one assist in the 19-15 win over Baldwin Wallace and four goals and two assists in the 13-10 win over Whitman.

Easterlin, a senior from Lake Oswego, Oregon, earns her second NWC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Easterlin added to her perfect season with two more wins, improving to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in the NWC. She recorded 22 saves on the weekend, with 12 coming against Whitman.

The Bruins will hit the road next week to take on Pomona-Pitzer Saturday, March 24.
