Lutes Sneak By Bruins

TACOMA, Wash. --- The George Fox women's soccer team met up with the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran Saturday afternoon, as the Bruins fell, 3-0.

The Lutes got on the board early, scoring in the 13th minute to take a 1-0 advantage. The Bruins settled in for the remainder of the first period, trading possession back and forth with the Lutes.

The second period started off similar to the first, as the Lutes found the back of the net three minutes after the whistle. Kelsey Hathaway scored for the Lutes in the 48th minute off a rebound save by Bruins' keeper Morgan Bars. The Bruins went on the attack and recorded four of their five second half shots on frame. The Lutes managed to end the match with another goal in the 88th minute.

Top Performers:
Ashley Behrens led the team with two shots. Morgan Bars played all 90 minutes for the Bruins, seeing eight shots on goal and recording five saves.

The Bruins will host Willamette at 12p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.
