Bruins Finish 2016 Season Against Willamette

SALEM, Ore. --- The George Fox women's soccer team concluded the 2016 season against the Willamette Bearcats, Sunday afternoon, as the Bruins fell, 3-0.

Recap:
Willamette opened up the scoring in the 24th minute after Emmy Manset found the back of the net. Three minutes later the Bearcats were at it again, recording the second goal of the period off a header. The Bruins had opportunities in the first, as both teams combined for 20 shots – nine for the Bruins and 11 for Willamette.

The Bruins went into intermission down by two, 2-0.

The Bruins did well to contain the Bearcats in the second half, as the defensive line found their groove. Brittany Bravo looked to put the Bruins within one, but Willamette's goalkeeper Emily Sewall made a nice save.

The Bearcats tallied the final goal of the game after a free kick was awarded in the 79th minute.

Top Performers:
Leanna Harris led the Bruins with four goals and three on frame. Morgan Bars played all 90 minutes and recorded five saves.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins complete the season 3-14-3 and 3-11-2 in the NWC.
