NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox women's soccer team swept the Northwest Conference opening week awards, as Emma Logan and Kelsey Kammerzell picked up NWC Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

Logan, a senior forward from Sandpoint, Idaho, earned NWC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the charge for the Bruins 2-1 weekend. The senior forward tallied five points, as she recorded two goals against Beloit in a 4-1 win, and assisted the game-winning goal in double overtime against Hamline. This marks her first NWC weekly award.

Kammerzell, a junior goalkeeper from Milliken, Colorado, earned NWC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance in the net over the successful weekend. She recorded a career-high 12 saves against NCAA Division I Portland State, and combined for 18 saves over the three game stretch. She holds a record of 2-1 between the sticks and a save percentage of 85.7 percent. This also marks her first NWC weekly award.
