FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Cara Griffith turned in another solid effort as she won both her doubles match and her No. 4 singles match, but most of her George Fox University teammates were not as fortunate as the Pacific University Boxers downed the Bruins 6-3 in Northwest Conference women’s tennis action Saturday here at the Holce Tennis Courts.
Griffith and Alyssa Emoto edged Kelsey Trujillo and Lillian Do 9-7 at No. 2 doubles, but Pacific made off with the other two doubles. Cathlene Goya and Megan Yoshimoto won at No. 1 8-5 over Molly Beaumont and Shaina Inn, and Rachel Mizuno and Amber Craviotto downed Bethany Nguyen and Alissandra Wittrig 8-1 at No. 3.
