BEAVERTON, Ore. --- The George Fox women's tennis team bounced back Sunday afternoon, as the Bruins beat the Loggers of Puget Sound, 7-2.
The Bruins fell early in doubles after dropping the No. 1 spot, 8-2, but came back with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Both matches were close but Kristen Mock and Catrina Kwong won at the No. 2 spot 8-4, and Taylor Barnes and Andrea Motley won No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-5.
With a 2-1 lead heading into singles, the Bruins were quick to push away from the Loggers. Sarah Tuemmler won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, while Ellen Pearson snuck a win at No. 2 singles in a tightly contest match, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. Kwong and Motley had the quickest matches on the day as they both won 6-2, 6-0.
What It Means:
The win brings the Bruins back to .500 on the season with an overall record of 3-3 and a 3-2 Northwest Conference record.

The Bruins hit the road to take on Pacific Lutheran Saturday, March 11, at 1p.m.
