PORTLAND, Ore. – Freshman Mary Strutz posted the best time in a race for George Fox University for the first time this season as the Bruins finished eighth among teams with scores in the Concordia University/PUMA Classic, a women’s 5,000-meter race held Saturday afternoon here at Fernhill Park. SALEM, Ore. – Although they only finished 18th out of 19 teams in a talent-laden field, the George Fox University women’s cross country team continued to show marked improvement in the Cardinal 5K race at the 35th Annual Charles Bowles Cross Country Invitational hosted by Willamette University Saturday morning here at Bush’s Pasture Park. WHAT’S BRUIN: Weekly News & Notes
The George Fox Bruins closed out their 2008 men’s and women’s cross country seasons on Nov. 15 in the NCAA Division III West Regionals at Bush’s Pasture Park in Salem, Ore. The men finished 13th out of 15 teams, while the women had only three runners entered and received no team score. Each team was without one of its best runners, Allen Cassel for the men and Abby Reed for the women, as both were sidelined by illness. Full Story >>>
