ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT: Meis, Pia Named to Academic All-District Track/XC Teams
NEWBERG, Ore. – George Fox University women’s sprinter Rachel Meis and men’s cross country and distance runner Joseph Pia have been named to the 2011-12 Capital One / CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII Track and Field/Cross Country Teams for the NCAA Division III as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Dreibelbis Receives BAA Award for Second Time after Strong Run at West Regional
NEWBERG, Ore. – For the second time in three weeks, George Fox men’s cross country runner Kyle Dreibelbis has been named the Bruin Athletic Association Men’s Athlete of the Week, this time for the week of Nov. 7-13 after a strong showing in the NCAA Division III West Regional Championships on Nov. 5 in Claremont, Calif.

All-Region Status Earns Hochstetler BAA Athlete of the Week Award for Second Time
NEWBERG, Ore. - By earning All-Region honors in the NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country West Regional Championship on Nov. 12 in Claremont, Calif., George Fox’s Courtney Hochstetler has been named the Bruin Athletic Association Women’s Athlete of the Week for Nov. 7-13, the second time this fall she has been so honored.

WEST REGIONALS: Bruin Women Finish 14th as Hochstetler Earns All-Region Honors
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Courtney Hochstetler became the first George Fox University women’s runner to earn All-Region honors in four years and the Bruins as a team came in 14th out of 20 teams in the NCAA Division III West Regional Cross Country Championships held Saturday morning here at the Pomona-Pitzer Colleges course.

Dreibelbis’ Strong Race at NWC Championships Earns Him BAA Weekly Honors
NEWBERG, Ore. – A solid race in the Northwest Conference Men’s Cross Country Championships that landed him just two spots away from All-Conference honors has earned George Fox’s Kyle Dreibelbis the Bruin Athletic Association Men’s Athlete of the Week award for Oct. 24-30, his first time to be so honored.

PACIFIC DUAL MEET: Bruins Win Men’s Division; Women’s Division Goes to Boxers
ST. PAUL, Ore. - Joseph Pia and Kate Freiheit gave George Fox University the champions in the men’s and women’s divisions respectively of the Bruins’ cross country dual meet with Pacific University Saturday here at Champoeg State Heritage Area, but the team results were split as the Bruins took the men’s division and the Boxers the women’s section.
