NEWBERG, Ore. – Demonstrating both athletic and academic prowess, George Fox University’s men’s and women’s cross country teams have been named as NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams for the 2012 season by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for having cumulative grade point averages of 3.10 or higher. WEST REGIONALS: Ten Runners Set PR’s as Bruin Men Place 12th, Women 15th in West
INDEPENDENCE, Ore. – With 10 runners posting personal record times - five men and five women - the George Fox University men finished 12th out of 17 teams in the NCAA Division III West Regional men’s 8K race Saturday here at the Oak Knoll Golf Course while the Bruin women came in 15th out of 18 teams in the women’s 6K race. Pia Named Bruin Athlete of the Week for 4th Time; NCAA West Regionals Set for Nov. 10
NEWBERG, Ore. – Continuing his outstanding cross country season, George Fox University runner Joseph Pia earned First Team All-Northwest Conference honors at the NWC Championships on Oct. 27, resulting in his being named the Bruin Men’s Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 22-28, his fourth such award this fall.
