HILLSBORO --- The George Fox baseball team brought home three more awards on Monday, as Matt Ramirez and Jason Garcia were named D3baseball.com Team of the Week. Ramirez was also named Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.

Ramirez, a junior second baseman from San Ramon, California, joins Garcia as the second Bruin to garner an NWC weekly award and make the D3baseball.com Team of the Week after a weekend of baseball. Ramirez guided the Bruins to a sweep over Lewis & Clark, hitting .615 during the series. He recorded a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.308 slugging percentage. He went 8-13 at the plate with two home runs, six RBIs and six runs scored.

Garcia, a junior centerfielder from Bend, Oregon, grabs his second D3baseball.com Team of the Week honor this season. Garcia went 10-14 at the plate for a team-high .741 batting average in a three-game sweep over the Pioneers. He recorded a .733 on-base percentage and a .857 slugging percentage. He also added two doubles, five runs scored, four RBIs, and two stolen bases.

The Bruins are back in action March 16-17 when they host Linfield in a three-game series.
