Title: Assistant Coach/Infield (2016-)

Jon Strohmaier enters his third season as an assistant coach under head coach Marty Hunter for the 2019 season. He will work with the corner infielders and help coach the junior varsity team.

Before coming to George Fox, Strohmaier served as the head baseball coach at Sherwood High School from 1992 to 2016. During his 24 seasons at Sherwood, Strohmaier won two State Championships (2011, 2013).

Strohmaier played college baseball at Centralia Community College before transferring to Portland State University as a catcher. He graduated from PSU with a bachelor of science in physical education in 1989 and earned his Master’s degree in teaching from PSU in 1994.

Strohmaier lives in Sherwood and has two daughters, Sydney and Ashlyn. Sydney is a sophomore at Oregon State, while Ashlyn is a junior at Sherwood High School.
