MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- George Fox University traveled to No. 5 Linfield College Saturday afternoon, as the Bruins played the Wildcats for the first time since 1942.

The Wildcats lived up to their ranking defeating the Bruins, 59-0.

John Shaffer led the Bruins' offense with 21 rushing yards and Grant Schroeder completed 7-of-15 for 58 yards.

The Bruins (0-4, 0-2 NWC) shared most of the possession with the highly-ranked team gathering 29 minutes, while the Wildcats recorded 30 minutes.

Linfield improves to 4-0 and 2-0 in conference play and continues to lead the Northwest Conference.

The Bruins return home against the University of Puget Sound for Homecoming on Oct. 18 at 1:30 p.m.
