NEWBERG, Ore. – The 2019 George Fox University football schedule is set as the Bruins prepare to build on recent success. The program's 2018 campaign ended 6-4 overall and 4-3 in Northwest Conference play, marking the Bruins' third straight season with a winning record. George Fox will play host to five teams in 2019, including three games against NWC opponents.

For the fifth consecutive year, George Fox will open its season against the University of Redlands Bulldogs with a home game on Sept. 7. The Bruins then travel to face the Alfred (N.Y.) Saxons on Sept. 14 before finishing their non-conference schedule on Sept. 21 with a Homecoming matchup against Pomona-Pitzer.

After opening NWC play on the road at the University of Puget Sound on Oct. 5, George Fox will host Pacific Lutheran on Oct. 12 for its Hall of Fame weekend, followed by a home date Oct. 26 against Pacific (Ore.) on George Fox's Family Weekend. The Bruins' final home game of the regular season is slated for Nov. 9 against Lewis & Clark.

Season tickets for 2019 cost $110 per seat ($22/game), which are located in the covered grandstands. Season ticket holders have been treated to 10 home wins over the last three seasons in the notoriously grueling Northwest Conference.

"Many thanks to all our Bruin football fans. The Newberg community, George Fox students and employees, and our alumni make Stoffer Family Stadium and Lemmons Family Field a tremendous home-game atmosphere," Coach Chris Casey said of the fans. "Our coaches and players appreciate your support greatly."

"We have had an outstanding off-season of training, which will continue throughout the summer. This, coupled with a very strong incoming recruiting class, gives us a very positive outlook going into the 2019 season. Thanks again for your support, and we will see you for game one on Sept. 7."

Last year, the Bruins outscored opponents by more than nine points per game and landed 13 players on the All-Northwest Conference list. George Fox returns all-conference players Anthony Garcia, Austin Shadbolt, Brett Schuler, Caleb Harrel, Daniel Campos, Kenny May and Riley Lusk.
