HILLSBORO --- The Northwest Conference office announced its week three Student-Athlete of the Week (SAOW) selections on Sunday, Sept. 22. Bruin senior Anthony Garcia was honored by the NWC as its Special Teams SAOW for his performance against Pomona-Pitzer.

Garcia racked up 162 all-purpose yards against Pomona-Pitzer, including 119 on punt returns. The senior broke an 87-yard scamper for a touchdown on his third punt return of the night and averaged nearly 40 yards per run-back on the night.

In addition to his work on punt and kick return duty, Garcia added 43 yards for the Bruins' offense between his rush attempts and receptions against the Sagehens. This is Garcia's first SAOW honor of the season after being named All-NWC as a returner a year ago in the 2018 season.
