Campos Named NWC Defensive Player of the Week

HILLSBORO --- The Northwest Conference announced its Football Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of October 7th to October 13th. The Bruins' middle linebacker, Daniel Campos, was honored as the Defensive selection for the week.

Campos, a senior from Whittier, Calif., has led the Bruins tacklers each week and added another 12 this week, including 1.5 for loss. The senior leads the NWC in both tackles per game (12.0) and total tackles (60) this season and was eighth in the NCAA in tackles this season coming into the weekend matchup against PLU.

Campos and the Bruins prepare for their next road trip this weekend with a tough test at Whitworth in Spokane, Wash., upcoming on Oct. 19.
