Bruins Finish In Fourth At Whitworth Men's Invite

SPOKANE, Wash. --- George Fox University's men's golf team closed out Monday's round on a high note, firing off a team score of 307 to finish in fourth out of nine teams.

Willamette won the Invitational with a team score of 600, and Clark Wilson of Willamette was the medalist with a 71-74=145. Whitworth finished in second, while Pacific Lutheran completed the podium in third. The Bruins beat out Linfield, Puget Sound, Lewis & Clark, Whitman and Pacific (Ore.).

Top Performers:
Alex Plusquellec recorded his highest finish in his young career, leading the Bruins with a 75-73=148. He finished T2 and was the only Bruin to make the All-Tournament team. Caleb An shot the lowest second round score in the entire field with a 71 and combined for a 154, placing T14. Andrew Grove was right behind him in 16th with a 73-82=155. Brandon Sutton finished T28 (80-81=161), while Mason Mueller finished in 41st (86-84=170).

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will head to the Northwest Conference Fall Classic this upcoming weekend on Oct. 10-11 in Sunriver, Oregon at the Sunriver Resort Golf Course.
