Bruins Close Out NWC Fall Classic In Fourth

SUNRIVER, Ore. --- For the second time in back-to-back weekends, the George Fox men's golf team finished fourth overall as the Bruins closed out the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, Sunday afternoon.

Whitworth won the NWC Fall Classic, shooting a team score of 605 (313-292), while Willamette was eight strokes off that mark with a team score of 613 (310-303). Pacific Lutheran edged out the Bruins by five strokes to place third with a 628 (323-305). The Bruins followed up their first day team score of 328 with an impressive 305 to combine for a 633.

Top Performers:
Alex Plusquellec led the Bruins in the tournament and finished in 11th with an 86-72=158. Zachary Mode was right behind Plusquellec at T12 with an 84-75=159. Andrew Grove placed T15 and signed an 80-81=161, while Brandon Sutton finished T19 with a 78-85=163. Caleb An was impressive in the second round following up his 90 after day one with a 77 to take T27.

What Comes Next:
The men will join the women's golf team in Victoria, British Columbia on October 19-20 to compete in the Univ. of Victoria Invitational.
