Men's Golf 12 Strokes Off Contention

VICTORIA, B.C. --- George Fox University's men's golf team headed over to Canada on Sunday to compete in a two day invitational hosted by the University of Victoria.

Victoria (BC) leads the Invitational with a team score of 290. British Columbia is just two strokes back from Victoria with a 292. University of Alberta is currently in third with a team score of 300. George Fox is in eighth with a team score of 312, and finds itself just 12 strokes off of third place. There are 11 teams competing in the University of Victoria Invitational with a field of 61 players.

Trent Abraham of British Columbia leads the Invitational after firing off a two-under 70.

Top Performers:
Andrew Grove led the way for the Bruins with a 74 on the day and is T10. Caleb An was the next man up with a 77 and is T27, while Alex Plusquellec shot an 80 and is T42. Brandon Sutton fired off an 81 and is T46, while Zachary Mode shot an 87 and is in 59th.

What Comes Next:
The men will tee off on Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. with the last group teeing off at 10:00 a.m.
