Bruins Take 8th At Vikes Shootout

VICTORIA, B.C. --- The George Fox men's golf team closed out the Vikes Shootout with an eighth place finish in a field of 11 teams.

Victoria (B.C.) won the tournament with a team score of 577 (+9), while British Columbia finished three strokes behind with a 580 in second place. University of Alberta placed third with a 607, and University of Manitoba took fourth with a 608. The Bruins team score of 623 put them ahead of Corban University, Warner Pacific and Northwest Christian.

Top Performers:
Caleb An and Andrew Grove both shot a two day score of 152 and finished T18. Brandon Sutton placed T32 and shot an 81-76=157, while Alex Plusquellec finished with an 80-82=162 to take T46. Zach Mode completed the scoring at T55 with an 87-83=170.

Andrew Funk won the tournament with a 71-66=137 finish.

The men's course played as a par 71 at 6727 yards.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will have to wait till 2016 to compete in their next event when they host the George Fox Invitational at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course. To view the entire schedule click here.
