Bruins Finish T-4th At NWC Spring Classic

WALLA WALLA, Wash. --- The George Fox men's golf team tied for fourth after the final round of the Northwest Conference Spring Classic, Sunday afternoon.

Willamette University shot a team score of 579 to win the tournament, while Whitworth University was one shot off in second with a score of 580. Pacific Lutheran University shot a team score of 582 to take third, and the Bruins tied with Linfield College with a score of 601.

Zach Mode led the Bruins with a 72-73=145 to place T-4th and make the All-Tournament team. Caleb An finished T-16th and shot a 73-77=150, while Alex Plusquellec followed suit with a 75-75=150 to tie his teammate. Brandon Sutton finished T-31 with a 76-82=158, and Mason Mueller shot an 89-80=169 to finish 41st.

Chase Lamothe of Willamette won the playoff to earn medalist honors with a 71-69=140.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will compete next at the Willamette Invitational on April 16-17 in Sisters, Oregon.
