VENTURA, Calif. --- It was a program-best day for the George Fox men's golf team, as the Bruins shot a team score of 291 to finish round one in sixth place at the CA State Intercollegiate.

Chapman University leads the field with a team score of 285, while host California Lutheran is in second with a 286. The 2016 NCAA Division III National Champions Claremont-Mudd-Scripps sit in third with a score of 288.
